The following sections form part of BOING Inc Ltd's Terms and Conditions of Sale


We offer a guarantee for 2 years on all our full priced stainless steel products. This explicitly excludes all plated products such as gold, rose gold, solid sterling 925 silver and PVD and also all outlet or discounted products, which hold a guarantee of 1 year. However this guarantee lapses in the event of incorrect use, third-party repairs or careless handling. Please note the product care instructions on our website or issued with your purchase to maintain your product in its best condition. Failure to follow the product care advice will forfeit this guarantee.

We explicitly exclude from this guarantee:

  • The loss, by an individual, of their BOING product.
  • Engraved clasps, all personalised products.
  • Corrosion of magnets arising from failing to thoroughly rinse out seawater with fresh water.
  • Tarnishing, denting, scratching of all steel, silver, gold and PVD clasps and other metal products.
  • Wear and tear of leather braid or damage arising to the leather by wearing it while swimming or in a shower. Or exposing it to any water source, like any other quality leather product.
  • All charms and diamante bangles within our Accessories section

Returns, exchanges and refund policy

Personlisation Terms of Sale

We can not exchange or refund any personalised products as they can not be re-sold, therefore it is important that you double check size and the characters you are requesting to be engraved.

We want you to be delighted with your BOING purchase but if you are not we will happily accept returns within a whopping 2 years of purchase for all BOING products in the following 3 scenarios subject to you following the ‘Requirements for ALL Returns’ and Terms of our Returns’ listed below.

  1. A return for a refund or exchange if it is unwanted gift or you are the buyer and have changed your mind. Please note that we can only refund the original cardholder the cost of the product excluding postage or alternatively provide a gift voucher.
  2. A return for a size change, or type of product in the same price category if the BOING bracelet or product doesn’t fit or if you prefer a different colour.
  3. A return for a replacement, refund or exchange in the event of a damaged or faulty product or an error on our side in sending out the wrong item (excluding specifically any sizing issue).

Requirements for ALL returns

BOING offers a 2 year no quibble guarantee on their rope and leather stainless steel clasp bracelets and 1 year on their silver and silver /gold coated clasps bracelets subject to the terms below and those within the Guarantee listed separately in these FAQs. Firstly, please let us know that you are returning your order by sending an email to or contact us on 01628 78 99 99. In any correspondence and returned package please always provide the following information to avoid delays:

  1. Proof of purchase and date of purchase, order number (copy of email order is sufficient) or name of shop and receipt for the product that it was purchased from.
  2. Reason for the requested return.
  3. Your name and the name of the Purchaser if different
  4. Your email and telephone number for contacting you if we have any further questions.
  5. A return delivery address if we are replacing or exchanging or the original order number so we can find your address.
  6. Refunds will be to the original form of payment and to the person who placed the order.
  7. Please post the returned product second class recorded delivery and retain your receipt. We will only refund postage in the case of 3) above.

Terms of our Returns

For the removal of doubt, in the cases of 1) and 2) above the original product must be returned to us in full saleable condition in its original packaging. If in our opinion the product has been worn and is not re-saleable we will be unable to offer any refund, exchange or replacement. We will not refund your return postage costs unless very special circumstances arise, however we will bear the postage costs for posting any replacement BOING item back to you. This does not affect your statutory rights.

In the case of item 3) above being; ‘A return for a replacement, refund or exchange in the event of a damaged or faulty product or an error on our side in sending out the wrong item a return (excluding specifically any sizing issue)’. We will replace, exchange or refund you the original cost of the product at your decision. We will also refund your return postage if we sent you an incorrect or damaged product or the product fails in some way within the guarantee period but only to the maximum cost of second class recorded delivery.

Please allow 5 working days for any exchanges or amended product sizes to be delivered and 5 working days for any refunds to be made.

For the removal of any doubt, if you lose your BOING product for any reason we cannot be held responsible and no refund can be given.

Bespoke size products can not be returned if you have requested a product(s) to be made in sizes we do not provide normally.

Shipping costs and information

Once your order is placed, we usually make it up and ship it within 48 hours unless it is a busy gift period. However both on placing an order and shipping you will automatically receive an email confirming this.

To ensure a swift and safe delivery, BOING uses Royal Mail Tracked and Signed services that always require a signature upon delivery; therefore we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes or Military bases. If there are any import duties, fees or charges they will be the responsibility of the customer.

If you need your purchases sent to more than one place, we are happy to do that but we will need to charge you for each delivery address. Please call our Customer Care team on +44 (0) 1628 789999 to make the arrangements.

Be aware that if a signature cannot be obtained at the point of delivery the item will be taken to your local sorting office. In the UK you will need to collect the item in person within 7 days of the attempted delivery. If the item is not collected within this time it will be returned to us. Timings may differ overseas.

Standard delivery within the UK
All orders will be sent via Royal Mail 1st or 2nd Class Sign For within the UK. The delivery time guide is 3-5 working days from receipt of order as each order is handmade and volumes get very high around gift periods. Orders are only posted from Monday to Friday (excluding bank or public holidays).

Alternative postal services available we offer only within the UK
If you require a guaranteed next day delivery you can select this option.
This does not cover a Saturday delivery.

Guaranteed next day delivery – UK only
Special Delivery for guaranteed next day service is available, delivery is guaranteed before 1pm on the next working day. This service is only relevant for orders placed before 12pm Monday to Friday (Excluding Steel Rigging as these take 2 days to make). Goods will be shipped the same day if this service is selected. Orders placed after 12pm will be shipped the next working day. Orders are only posted from Monday to Friday (excluding bank or public holidays) and will only be delivered Monday to Friday.

Rest of the World/Europe

We use Royal Mail International Tracked and signed. The carrier outside the UK will depend on the destination country. The delivery time varies dependent on destination but generally can be 7-14 working days.

Important safety notice regarding the magnetic clasp

All BOING bands use a neodymium magnet within the clasp. These magnets were developed over 30 years ago and because they are much stronger than conventional magnets are now very widely used in numerous products such as toys, hard drives, electric motors, jewellery, mobile phones and even by NASA for their moon craft.

However, please be aware that the stronger magnetic fields surrounding neodymium magnets may alter the behaviour of a pacemaker or similar medical heart aid. Therefore do not allow a magnet near such a device (approximately 3cm has been recommended) although this abnormal behaviour will usually stop once the magnet is returned to a safe distance.

You should also be aware that the stronger magnetic fields from neodymium magnets may, in some cases, cause damage by magnetising credit cards, magnetic I.D. cards, televisions, computer monitors, mechanical watches and CRT displays if placed in close contact. Our magnets used are small and are already encased within a steel clasp body limiting to some extent any impact but you must be made aware of this risk.

BOING Inc Limited accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage or harm caused by a BOING band and acceptance of this clause is a condition of sale and is stated within our terms and conditions.

Payment Methods

We accept most major credit and debit cards online excluding American Express. You can also pay through PayPal. We cannot accept any payments by cheque or postal order either at Events or for online sales.

Damaged bracelets and repairs

In the unlikely event that your bracelet needs repair in the first year of ownership, simply email sarah@boingjewellery.comor post the bracelet back to us along with an explanation of what happened (you must send it to us recorded delivery as we cannot be held liable if it fails to arrive). If BOING determine that any damage is due to flaws in workmanship or materials, your bracelet will be replaced within 5 days and all P&P costs refunded.

If BOING determine the damage was caused by other reasons, we reserve the right to apply repair charges but we will bear all P&P charges ourselves in posting your bracelet back to you. Please allow up to a week for any repairs.

Issues arising over a year since purchase will be assessed individually.

Incorrect bracelet size

To avoid selecting the wrong size you must follow the sizing guidelines set out in the size table and stressed above. However, if you do need to return the bracelet for a different size then please post it back to us in its packaging (you must send it to us recorded delivery as we cannot be held liable if it fails to arrive), along with proof of purchase within 365 days and your requested correct size. As long as the bracelet is in full re-saleable condition in original undamaged packaging we will send you your new chosen size within a week. We will judge whether or not to levy postage charges on sending the bracelet out if the size is materially different.

Bespoke bracelets

If your size is not shown, please contact us directly and we will be delighted to help. Please be aware that bespoke bracelets may take up to 5 days to create and send out. We also cannot offer refunds or returns on bespoke products. Any further queries please contact

Recycling your old rope

If you have some favourite used rope that you would like us to recycle into a bracelet for you as a memory of a great Mountaineering excursion or damp Ocean experience then please call us. We can usually turn most ropes up to 100mm in diameter into a bracelet, at a reasonable price.
