Introducing our next BOING Ambassador and blogger - Emily Sukiennik

My name is Emily Sukiennik and I am a Highliner based in Moab, Utah, USA. I have been highlining since 2009 and love both the physical and mental challenge that it provides me. Highlining is a spin off of tight rope walking, the main difference is the material used. Instead of a taught wire or cable, Highlining is practiced on a dynamic piece of nylon webbing. There is always some slack in it creating more movement and sway. I love the way it feels to be "walking on air" and how it feels to conquer my fears! The sport has taught me so much about myself, life, how to be patient, set goals and work towards reaching them. I have currently walked over 70 unique highlines across the USA, most recently having walked my first highline outside of the USA at a 13th century castle in Germany. In 2009 I was the 4th woman in the world to walk one of the world's most coveted highlines, The Lost Arrow Spire in Yosemite Valley, CA and since then I have been pushing my own limits as well as inspiring others to do the same. I can't wait to share more about my life with the BOING community! To learn more about me, here are my social media links:
