I have never seen so much snow in my life. The snowfall seems relentless which is making for some incredible off-piste skiing. We have finally settled in with all our neighbours and have been having frequent parties following the long days of work and skiing (mostly skiing).

We have hit big runs in the last few days. Some serious waist deep powder through tree runs and down steep slopes has really pushed us as skiers, both mentally and physically. There have been alot of graphic falls yet the cushioning powder has made it almost pleasant. For a couple days the lifts closed and so there was no skiing. But thanks to the sauna and swimming pool of the local sports centre we had a relaxing recovery day.

Us both, with the help and enthusiasm of our neighbour, intend to build a huge snow fort around our attached Chaleco’s as well as play some timeless snow pranks (barricading the doors of others in our complex with sizable snowballs).

Keep on the lookout for this materializing in later posts. But for now we will stick to the mountain (as ski bums). Saying that our chunky BOING wristbands could do with a wash...

Stay tuned.
